Wow, i just discovered this plug in for my computer that has allowed me to travel to the year 2015, and nope, the vikes still haven't won a Super Bowl- and worse yet, Denny's STILL the coach! And now straight to the news: first, a committment from me to you to be more consistent, and frequent in posting news, even if it means less of the usual side-splitting humor, stimulating content & cliche irony that marks this half the page. so...news- This friday, April 27th a webcast of the Duluth band 'No Room to Pogo.' You knew them as 'Flux Capacitor' when they played first ave. and now they're back to play with Nick Garcia, D, and Low Key Fever. Tune in from our 'radio' page at 9pm cst to catch the show live with Jay Miller and a super special top-secret co-host(yup, that means we haven't found a side-kick for him yet.)

What a smash it was! Madonnarama!!! The surreal mesh of material girl and fargorock made for a night to remember- and be thankful for! The fundraiser afforded us a remarkable upgrade in PA systems; the result, we hope, will be a noticeable improvement in sound quality at future events. On behalf of everyone at coach and 6, i would like to thank Phil Leitch, the creative marvel who conceived Madonnarama, and was instrumental in the promotion and production of the show- not to mention the proposal to throw it as a benefit for coach and 6! Thanks a mil, Phil. Thank you, also, sublimely talented production team a.k.a. Coach and 6: Dan Shepard, Mike Dagan, Casey Borchert, Jay Miller, Traci Hastings, Mark Borchert, & Amber Fletchshock- you are always the ones who make it happen, and your extra hard work & dedication to Madonnarama are what made it a joy for all who were there. Sorry if this reads like a bad oscar speech, but there are so many people to thank(and no orchestra to cut me off!) Thank you bands & musicians who lent your time & energy to learning the songs and drafting so many clever and original interpretations of them( i think she would've adored it!)- Brooks West, David Sol, Les Dirty Frenchmen, Prana & the Groove Conglomerate, Solipsistic, West of Madison and, the winners in a tight race: Y.L.M. - you were all magnificent. And, judges- Andrea Berninger, John Lamb & Katy McMullen- your impartiality, stamina, tolerance, mathematical skills & courage in rendering a winner was, is, and always will be, much appreciated. Thank you Jim D, Brett B and the Vinyl Connection for the fantastic prizes, Yahtzeen, Forum, High Plains Reader & FargoWeb.com for the great, gratuitous advance press, Mike B&%#eski in Madison for putting together those beautiful silk-screened posters, Video team- John Bauer & Loren Lang for your acrobatic zeal & providence, Paul Hvidsten for the drum-set-wish you coulda been behind it, Mike Schoem-Z for hosting the webcast, Randy (c.i.l.) for excavating the old gold 'donna tracks that i know we'll never hear again and trusting us with them for the entire night!!! Scott Miller for letting us use the loudest truck in the world, the friendly, efficient work of the folks behind the bar that night, and all of you, who were there and helped support us that night. Be back at ya soon. Rog

mainly, madonnarama. Local bands & dj's revisit the pop diva's catalog on Valentine's eve. See it in person on tuesday, february 13th at 8pm sharp at the fargo moose lodge or watch it online from this site. ...return next week for a comprehensive update on upcoming events, projects & new radio shows.

Monday, 08-January-2001 09:54:00 CST--
Welcome back, Yahtzeen! And to you 94% er's out there- bookmark us already! It isn't really that high (93.5%), but it's at the point where i feel compelled to update my column here whenever i read one of Phil's rants in yz about writers being lazy on updates. also, i'm hoping to suck up for yz t-shirt someday....OK, I know that with our online gaming, fortune telling and other services, it can be easy to forget this, but please remember we ARE more than just a liquor store- we're a record label too, really - so, to make it fair, vote for barking dog records in the yahtzeen poll until they add coach and 6 (plus big block records & whoever put out the slippy mcgee record, too ;)
Okay, enough about yahtzeen, how about Phil's Madonnarama! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, the 13th of February and plan to be at the fargo moose lodge when local bands take to the stage to perform their favorite songs by the material girl. It's important to know that Phil not only came up with the idea for doing this show- had it on his mind for some years now, but he has graciously offered to make it a fund-raising event for coach and 6 as we plan to open a new liquor store sometime later this year. Seriously, thank you Phil.
SEX and CA$H- we've got none, but this weekend you should drop everything and come out to the fargo moose lodge & satellite lounge for 2 incredible shows. It starts on friday, Jan. 12th, with 'the beats' which will feature several films by Adam Hagen plus ambient soundtracks, spoken words, furnishings, hosts and other non-general zaniness - Then, skip the hangover and come out saturday night, the 13th, as Transporter performs movement 1, parts 1-3 of 'ghettobots: a rock opera.' If you're out of town or can't make it down, tune in here and watch it live on the internet.

Tuesday, 21-November-2000 11:54:00 CST--
It started back in February in the basement of a small house on fargo's north side. We gathered on chairs, a couch and the floor in one corner of the gold-lit room, while only a few feet away June Panic and his band stood assembled to play. From an adjoining room, the mellow buzz of Jim Zespy's voice broke over the background jazz music to announce that the show was about to begin. In an upstairs bedroom, a computer, which had already begun to simultaneously record and transmit the basement scene through a telephone wire, now displayed on its monitor that a group nearly twice our size had joined us, listening in from points as distant as portland and england.
Those who were there, or happened to tune in to that inaugural episode of "off broadway- a live webcast series," were treated to a one of a kind performance- 2 electric sets, 1 solo acoustic set and three encore numbers- that showcased new songs which would eventually appear on June's album , "Horror Vacui." Now, for the first time, that evening's show, including interviews with June,Chris and Tom, will be available to listen to in the "archives" section of this webesite. Expect the encode to be up by Thanksgiving Day, and THANK YOU, Dan, for your persistent and painstaking dedication to the quality mastering and archiving of all the shows we've done since then.

Monday, 30-October-2000 12:00:00 CST--
It's finally available: An archive of the February 29th episode of 'off broadway' featuring interviews and a complete two-set performance from 'stene racing.' To listen, click "archives" and look through the "off broadway" dates for February 2000.--
On that note, D , of stene racing, will make his debut this Friday, the 3rd of November at fargo's satellite lounge.(309 broadway) The show, which will be broadcast live from this website beginning at 8pm, will also include performances by Andy Smentkowski, Brooks West and Bryan Grob and spoken word interludes from Kevin Zepper, Kristin Garaas and Laura Stowe.--
And 'strange arrangements' the weekly radio show hosted by dj c.i.l., will now air on Sunday evenings at 5pm CST.

Thursday, 19-October-2000 02:21:00 CST--
Changes for the Oct. 21st Feds/Capital!Capital show: ok, this date has seen more line-up changes than the grossouts! And, Jay- the C&^6 bookie- is ready for rogaine over the whole aflair! Somebodygirls start a band with this guy-please! It IS still on for this Saturday and the 8 ball says signs point to yes that the Feds will play. Capital!Capital! are unable to make it up, though- bummer. Flim-Flam-Flum are questionable, but the good news is that, SuperAsbestos records 'Mothmus'- who are in town to record a new record- have offered to play. Also, Live PA artist 'Man from Disco.' has been added to the roster(that iron-man will also play at the 'Footloose' show across town later that night!) 'West of Madison' fill out the bill. Other rumors are that CTRL-D might somehow end up playing- who knows, maybe weird al will still be in town? Look at this show like trick-or treating- you'll definitely get something, but who the hell knows what it'll be! One certainty: a night of diverse entertainments & pleasures. See it on the web starting at 8pm w/Scott Wolf hosting...bands to start around 8:30.--
What is THU.mp3? In a Brazil nutshell, it's a dj showcase that features performances from regionally and nationally known dj's. You can view the action live from the c&6 website every Thursday from 10pm-1am cst. Tune in from the 'radio' page. Casey Borchert, a.k.a.Man from Disco, a.k.a. "why are you married!?", a.k.a. "...sexy...citizens arrest" has been instrumental in bringing together dj's from a multitude of backgrounds and styles to play the weekly show at the fargo mooselodge. Magna props to Jason from RedRiverRising and Dave from SOE; their continual dedication to the scene- both as djs and promoters- has grown the grass-roots support that makes a show like thu.mp3 possible. Jason's 'Footloose'production takes place- ouch, this Saturday the 21st at the skatepark in Moorhead and features Philadelphia's Nigel Richards and an all-star line-up of djs from Denver, Mpls & Fargo. My advice is to get f*%cked up at the feds show first & then head to moorhead for the all-nighter(in a cab, of course) and make it sort of a saga... Anyways, this thursday's thu.mp3 will feature the return of .EXE -fargo's tech trance wizard. Plus, the intersteller stylings of Matt Transit. Look forward to Dave's next show Thursday, November 2nd- 'Angel Alanis' of champion sound in chicago will bring the big city sound to town. This is the second time Dave has graciously brought in outside talent to play the thu.mp3 show (Boogie in September) and word is that he has another major dj announcement up his sleeve for a December show. Thanks, Dave.

Wednesday, 11-October-2000 18:23:00 CST--
'Flim Flam Flum', from North Carolina, complete the line-up for the Oct.21 show featuring Capital!Capital, the federal weights and measures and West of Madison. Scott Wolf & John Lamb are set to host the webcast, which you can see live beginning at 8:00 pm cst. If you plan to be at the show, you may want to arrive early- around 8:30 or so- to catch the opening bands. Details on the Nov. 3 show that will debut 'd' (of 'stene racing') are taking shape and will post as an announcement sometime in the next week.

Saturday, 07-October-2000 10:30:00 CST--
'Capital!Capital' have announced they will join fellow twin cities rockers, 'The Feds' and fargo's 'West of Madison' for a date on the 'off broadway' webcast series- Saturday, October 21st. Stay tuned for an special announcement of one other band to complete the bill. The show will take place at the fargo moose lodge- 309 broadway - or listen & view it live from the coach and 6 radio page.

Thursday, 31-August-2000 10:30:00 CST--
Just a quick note to remind everyone that the June Panic Farewell show will be this Friday at 307 Broadway. The show starts at 8:00pm and will be webcast on our site as well

NEW 'STENE RACING' SET FOR NOVEMBER RELEASE
An album of newly recorded music from Coach and 6 artists "STENE RACING" will hit the streets in early November. The full-length follow-up to the band's critically acclaimed self-titled E.P.(1999) is being recorded in Duluth, Minnesota. Several tracks from the new record will be showcased during a stint of performances scheduled for mid-September. A planned tour of several American cities will commence following the November 3rd release of the album. Look for an MP3-VIEW of the new record on this page in late August. Check SHOWS for date & location info on STENE RACING.

so the archives should be working now. if you have any problems, let me know at dshepard@netwerk-x.com. i hope people enjoy the chance to listen to a year+ in my life, i enjoyed living it. ttfn -dan

friday, 4-october-2002 6:66:66 pst--
ok this is going to be the next to last post ever. i am putting the coachand6 page up for archival purposes only. the archives will be back up in a few weeks, but nothing will be changed, or added. basically i just want to have a snapshot of what coachand6 once was. -dan

Wednesday, 2-Jan-2001 17:02:00 CST--
first things first, the shows are 309 broadway will continue. ok, now i'm going to give you the low down on the future of coach and 6.

we have quit doing new webcasts. we will be working on archiving our old shows, and there are a lot of them, many of which are very good, including unwound, and madonnarama, so keep coming back for them. we also will probably start advertising the shows here, so if you want to find out when something is happening at 309 broadway, this will be the place to do it. there should be some new records coming out in the near future, and this will be the place to buy them.

i would like to thank everyone who has come to this site, and our shows.

-dan shepard

Friday, 28-Dec-2001 14:00:00 CST--
yippee, we are back up and running. i had a slight computer problem(ok the motherboard died, so it wasn't too slight) but thanks to bh, i am back to better than before. that's about all for now, i'll let you know when the site is moving when i have more info.

Tuesday, 5-Dec-2001 11:42:00 CST--
well, i guess for now there will not be an audio schedule playing when we don't have live shows. maybe in a week or so.

just to give everyone a heads up, the site will be down for a few weeks starting at the end of january, while i move to vegas. the site should be back up as soon as i get a broadband connection down there, so don't delete your bookmarks.

Tuesday, 5-Dec-2001 11:42:00 CST--
we have had to change our radio station from 24x7 to only during live events. this is in preparation for my move to las vegas. hopefully at some point the 24x7 status will be back up, but for now if you tune in when we are not broadcasting, you will get a schedule of our upcoming live events. for now, please continue to tune in for our live webcasts.

Tuesday, 6-Nov-2001 15:42:00 CST--
two things: one) there has been a slight site redesign(more like coloring, as most of the changes are to the code instead of the appearance). two) this may seem couterproductive, but go and check out kexp.org and listen to them, and then tell me why we can't have a public radio station like that here.

Saturday, 3-Nov-2001 10:42:00 CST--
ok, so it's been a while. for those of you who didn't go, the reed lane activity center opened on oct 31st to 200+ people. almost everything went as planned. with the exception of the last band not getting to play due to time restraints(sorry les dirty frenchmen) there were no significant problems. thanks go out to everyone who helped get reed lane into shape for this show, in paticular mike, since without him, there would have been no stage, and steve(our main worker, and technical supervisor), who without which, there would have been no anything.

we have moved the coachand6.com site to my house from our other server, and some things are still not working. the web cam is not up and working, but it should be back in the near future. we will be switching over our email server soon as well, so if you don't get any responses it means that one of two things is happening. 1 it didn't go through or 2 we are ignoring you:). please be patient with us during this change over. hopefully this will mean that the site will get updated more frequently, but i'm not promising anything.

Tuesday, 28-Aug-2001 10:42:00 CDT--
unfortunately, the unwound show will not be in the reed lane activity center, as it is not yet finished being remodeled. unfortunately that means that it will be at 309 broadway, and despite our efforts, it will now have to be a 21+ only show. we apologize for the trouble. we are planning to webcast the show, so tune in if you can come.

Tuesday, 29-May-2001 06:66:00 CDT--
i have made an executive decision, and removed the thump3 24/7 station. it was not being listened to, and was just taking up server space.

Tuesday, 29-May-2001 06:66:00 CDT--
ok, so i am the worst news writer in the whole world. here is the situation: my life is just too full of work, parties, and sleep to keep up with this web page(hell, i'm even 2 months behind on masturbating). now i have to make a decision, and i'm afraid that work is just going to have to suffer. we are going to start archiving shows again, but the new rule will be that for every old show we do, we will do a newer show. hopefully this will help us to get the current stuff done, without abandoning the old.
new topic
i know we had nothing to do with the anchorhead show, but weren't they awesome? i even liked mario test who dispite having "played themselves out" in fargo, i had not seen before. oh, sorry shipley, i'll pay you back next month. this weekend was crazy for me, i had 3 friends come back to town, one from seattle, one from chicago, one from mpls, and i had to upgrade my server at work(this didn't quite get finished). needless to say(how dumb is that phrase?), i am lacking in quality rem sleep(i know that's not all i'm lacking in, but we don't have all day).
anyhow, i just wanted ya'll to know that we are still alive and we will be making our web presence known in the near future(well, maybe presence is too strong a word).

due to dan's lazyness, thump3 will not be aired tonight. we will be back next week at our regularly scheduled time
dan
Tuesday, 3-April-2001 09:37:00 CDT--
well, i would like to apologize to anyone who tried to tune into the rock and rip show live. our isp for remote locations was experiencing an outage in the fm area, which prevented us from broadcasting. we did get the whole thing recorded, and it should be up and listenable in about a month.
i would like to invite everyone to come out and see 'friday night live' at the satelite lounge(basement of 309 broadway) this friday. this is a j-sauce/coach and 6 joint production, and will be a very eclectic show.

Tuesday, 27-February-2001 09:37:00 CST--
ok, we have some new stuff up in the way of archives. we are up to september 28th for thump, strange arrangements #17 and we have the first ultralounge show done. next to get done is the first tvc show. it should be up in about 3 hours or so.

Wednesday, 14-February-2001 15:37:00 CST--
damn. that's about all i can say about madonnarama. damn. if you were there you know what i mean. i want to congratulate and thank all of the bands who played, and made the night work, plus the judges and david sol. it was a night that will not be forgotten for a very long time. i just now starting to wake up and recover. again, thanks to everyone who came out, and everyone who participated.

Monday, 12-February-2001 12:37:00 CST--
there is a page up for the z machine it contains a scan of the flyer, and a list of the dj's spinning. it will also tell you all where to go on the day of the show, so bookmark it. i am finally finishing up the first of the new songs for the playlist, and i'm starting on the second set. i also will try to get the next 2 thumps done, and the next 8 strange arrangements in the next week.(yeah right!(no really i'm gonna try))

Wednesday, 31-January-2001 13:52:00 CST--
there will be new songs on in our playlist starting this afternoon, and hopefully 16 new ones by tomorrow. tune in and try to pick out the new songs(it's been so long since we added any that it should be an easy task). i know, why am i adding new songs to the playlist when i can't even get the shows archived? well, starting tomorrow i will be able to do this from my house instead of having to come into the studio to do it, and that should help the process along.

Tuesday, 30-January-2001 11:23:00 CST--
so take a look around, and see what shows we have coming up. if you look at the radio page you will find that we have ended some shows, and started others. we are very excited about the new shows on coach and 6, and you should be as well.
it has come to my attention that some people(no names will be given out casey) have not realized that the dj boogie show was archived out of order, and there have been a few new thu.mp3 shows archived since then, they are just above the dj boogie show. sorry about the confusion.

Monday, 15-January-2001 13:23:00 CST--
well, what a great weekend up until 11:30am on sunday. if you didn't come out, or tune in to the 2 big shows this weekend, you really missed out. the beats went off without a hitch, (except not having a bartender until late) and i think that everyone had a great time. ghettobots what can i say except "uh, wow" it was the kind of thing that make you think that you aren't in fargo anymore. (i think there is some sort of transporter joke in there, but i'm not going to look too hard)
if you are wondering what this "kiss me, kiss me, ok don't kiss me"(thanks todd) is, you'll just have to use your imagination for now. we should have a date for it by the end of next week.

Wednesday, 3-January-2001 13:23:00 CST--
happy new year everyone, and welcome to the new millennium. just remember that there are only 33 years left in the lifetime of the world. i would like to apologize for the lack of updates to the archives recently. i have upgraded my computer, and have been unable to get my cd-r working since. hopefully this will be taken care of soon, so keep looking.

Wednesday, 20-December-2000 13:23:00 CST--
i hope everyone enjoyed the cookin' show on saturday. i know i did. I will soon be adding some sorta video to the images page, so please stop by there sometime in the future to check it out.

Thursday, 5-December-2000 13:23:00 CST--
i just thought that i would write something here since i hate to have roger being the latest news/lies poster. anyhow, there has be a rumor circulating through the coach and 6 offices, that we may be visited by a very talented band from mpls in january. if it is who i think it is, you don't want to miss it. we also might get around to having the sequel to outa orbit. i think that i heard the name was going to be the beat or something along that line. of course there is always the possibility that i dreamt it like i dreamt finding 4 boxes of soldering irons(including a really cool electric cordless one(made by weller(you got the free plug, now just make the product) that heated up really fast) in an outdoor stadium with liz(looking like she did at tomacelli's).

Thursday, 16-November-2000 17:23:00 CST--
so, on with our lives. in case you haven't noticed, i have been busy archiving stuff, and have finished all of the off broadway archives, and am starting on the thu.mp3 archives. there should be 3 new thu.mp3 archives up by the end of the week. you can keep track of my progress on our archive page. remember that complaining about the time it takes to archive your show will only move you to the back of the list. : ) ttfn

Tuesday, 14-November-2000 10:23:00 CST--
ok, i have a few personal comments about this whole election snafu. 1. anyone who thinks that the 19000 votes which were double punched are important is deceiving themselves. 2. we switched to machine counting because it was faster, not more accurate. 3. hand counting is needed in some counties because there were 10000 ballots that had no vote for president, a situation that is highly unlikely. 4. both parties are a bunch of babies and we should elect me for president. 5. the media is just as bad as the two parties, and we should all just watch the daily show. 6. george dubya bush will probably end up winning this thing. and on that note, i would like you all to listen to a sample taken from minitry's stigmata(on 'in case you didn't feel like showing up') that expresses my feelings(and i know that this is talking about his dad)

Tuesday, 7-November-2000 12:11:00 CST--
what a depressing game. well, it is now time to drown your sorrows by going out and voting against dubya. maybe if everyone goes out and votes, we could actually get nd to go democrat. anyhow, everyone should tune in tonight for our coverage of the election results, regardless of whom they voted for.
check out the attrition.org mirror of the gop.org hacked site.

Monday, 6-November-2000 12:11:00 CST--
i would like to thank everyone who came out and made outa orbit a success. i hope everyone had as much fun as i did. i would like to remind everyone that tonight we are doing a webcast of the vikings-packers game, so if you have a strong stomach for profanity and partisanship announcing, please tune in. on a personal note, my odometer on my bike just passed the 1000 mile mark, so i am feeling quite proud. i guess i should thank everyone for coming to see the angel alanis show on thursday as well. i know i had a good time, and i hope you all did too.

Thursday, 2-November-2000 11:08:00 CST--
hello all you smf's (that's an homage to twisted sister for you) angel alanis, from champion sound, wow what more can i say? this is an all ages show tonight, so bring your little brother or sister. the show starts at 8:00, so come out early and catch the whole thing. i have been told that strange arrangements is moving to sunday nights at 5:00pm so all of you dedicated fans should tune in then, and stick around for dazzax radio which follows. we have been working hard to get the satellite lounge ready for the D show. Brooks West, Andy Smentkowski, and Bryan Grob will be there helping D to provide the music for the night, with poets Kevin Zepper, Kristin Garaas and Laura Stowe reading their works throughout the night.

Monday, 30-October-2000 15:42:00 CST--
well, after a long weekend of ps2 game playing, i guess it's time to get back to work. the stene racing show from february has finally be given the green light, and it should be available by the time you read this. i would like to wish all of you a happy halloween tomorrow.

Tuesday, 24-October-2000 10:20:00 CST--
1 day 13 hours and 40 minutes until the playstation 2 comes out. i hope everyone who wants one gets one. anyhow, on to business. i want to thank everyone who came out on saturday, and i hope they all enjoyed the show, despite our technical difficulties. what with broken fans, and crossover problems(and other things) it was a miracle that the show happened at all. keep an eye out for a possible new way to listen/watch in the near future, i can't tell you more, but you should probably be watching for something. the cherry valence show, the vaz show and dj boogie have been added to the archives so feel free to check them out.

Monday, 9-October-2000 16:20:00 CST--
lots of little things to talk about(how about this, 4 entries in the last 10 days) first on the agenda is that we now have 2 cam pages, 1 that refreshes every 15 seconds and 1 that refreshes every minute. if you have to listen to the 24k stream(you know who you are) you probably won't want to try the 15 second refresh. second, i have been a busy little encoding beaver and on the short list of new archives are brooks west, dazzax 2 and 3, strange arrangements 16, the june panic farewell show, and 8 and 12 from august 10. next on my catch up list is the dj boogie show from sept 7th. and everyone thought that i was just blowing smoke up their asses when i told them that i would archive the shows. as you probably noticed, we have a new first page. let us know how you like it. it will put important news/show information on the first page you see. that's about it, except that rog is now completely responsible for the news part of this page.

Thursday, 5-October-2000 16:07:00 CST--
i just want to apologize to everyone, i had no idea that i was writing a weblog, and i'm sorry.

Thursday, 5-October-2000 15:35:00 CST--
hey, we have a webcam that we will be using to send out pictures of the shows starting tonight. it isn't anything super, just 1 picture every minute, but it should let you get an idea what goes on at these things, and let me remember them the next morning. the cam will only be updating during our live shows, so if the time stamp on the picture isn't current/changing we probably aren't on. ttfn

Tuesday, 3-October-2000 12:45:00 CST--
just to let you know, big brother is watching you, and guess what! ya'll actually read this page. now that is a scary thought. i want to keep you updated on our upcoming events. the only one i have been informed about is The Feds on saturday the 21st of october. the entire line-up has not been determined, but keep checking back here for details. or just call rog at 293-mmmph . . .

Thursday, 28-September-2000 10:40:00 CST--
in case you didn't get the newsletter, the tuesday show was the end of our regular off broadway shows. we will be continuing the series, but it will be on a less regular schedule. the flip side is that we will be having more bands at each show. we will probably be shooting for 3-4 bands each time we have a show. and in case you missed the cherry valence/mercury birds show, shame on you! it was a site to behold. i haven't had a chance to listen back to the show, but hopefully our new recording setup worked as expected. that's about all i have for now, except to let you know that my wrist is getting better, and i should be back in the archiving business this weekend.

Monday, 25-September-2000 13:20:00 CST--
Hello all. 1 more day until The Cherry Valence!!! (ok, i know, i way overused the !) in case you don't know about them, do a search on the internet(and ignore the outsiders links) and you will soon realize that this is not a show you can afford to miss. the show will get underway at 8:00pm, and as always it will be simulcast on the web from our site.

Thursday, 06-September-2000 16:20:00 CST--
Just wanted to write a quick note to remind everyone that tonight we have DJ Boogie w/ David Sol, man from disco, DJ WHAT!? The show will get started at 8:00, and is an all ages show. A good time will be had by all. If you were at my apartment last week, and left part of something that you bought that night there, I will have it at the moose tonight.

Saturday, 05-August-2000 17:30:00 CST--
I guess I should talk a little more about our new station 24/7 Thu.mp3 It is a continuous loop of the Thu.mp3 Archived shows. We currently have about 24 hours of music on it, and are continuing to add music to it every week. Currently it is my main at work radio station. So anyhow, tune in and check it out.

Thursday, 03-August-2000 17:30:00 CST--
Ok, I promise I will actually come in this weekend, and get some of these shows archived. As a diversionary tactic, here is a great gnutella ad that I found on their site.

I will also be trying to get some crucial web page updating done this weekend as well. Wish me luck. Oh, don't forget to check out our latest station addition: 24/7 Thu.mp3

Monday, 26-JUN-2000 17:30:00 CST--
Hey, we have chat! It is being hosted by xoom.com, so you will have to excuse the ads that show up on the page. Hey, Hey, Hey, it's Jupiter Lander tomorrow night at 309 Broadway. The show starts at 10:00pm coach and 6 time(which means that we really try to start at 10:00pm, but we usually don't get our act together until around 10:30-11:00).
You know, it's been a long time since I had a heart to heart with everyone out there. And I think I'll keep it that way.
(Shameless Self-Promoting Alert: in 3...2...1...) Tune in this Friday for Unconditional Loathing, hosted by c.i.l.® with special guests: DROMINO, Tripping on Falling, T.F.T.A.P., DJ Nigiyaka

Monday, 26-JUN-2000 17:30:00 CST--
Just a quick note to let everyone that there will be a special Between 8 and 12 Beers Tonight. It is Ross' going away show, so please tune in, and definately don't miss the archive when it is available.

Thursday, 15-JUN-2000 12:30:00 CST--
I suppose it is time to get back to work now. Just to let you all know, the show was spectacular. I guess they played about 3 1/2 hours, but since I didn't have a stop watch, I can't tell you for sure. It turned out that the people we parked next to were from Climax and East Grand Forks. Wow. Frank, I screamed for you, but you didn't answer, where were you? :( On the way home, both Carmen and I had to pee really bad, so we stopped at a gas station in South Chicago, which had no bathroom. I got harrassed by some south Chicago residents for having painted fingernails, and then Carmen and I ran around back of the station and relieved our bladders. Anyway, I'm back and trying to catch up on my work, so you might start seeing some updates on the web page.

Thursday, 8-JUN-2000 18:42:00 CST--
Greetings from the windy city. I am loving the hell out of my vacation. So far I have seen 3 soccer games, 2 of which were the Chicago Fire, and my streak of having the Fire lose every time I watch them is broken. The Fire have beaten the only undefeated team in MLS, and taken over 1st place. I have also found a very cool bar in Wrigleyville, and it's name is RAW. A very nice place to talk to someone, and have drinks in a friendly atmosphere, while still getting to enjoy the people walking by in the street, all while watching lobsters bully each other around. Tomorrow I get to go see the Cure, so I guess my next update will be all about the show. Don't do anything I wouldn't do.

Monday, 29-May-2000 15:42:00 CST--
My my, it's been almost 1 whole month since I've written anything. I feel almost guilty. Not much is going on here at the hidden remote studio of Coach and 6. I'm just listening to our stream and converting CD's to mp3's, and enjoying my new "Patchouli Stinks" bracelet. Tomorrow I get to train in our relief pitcher on how to connect up and start broadcasting a live show. I will be in Chicago next week to see The Cure, so someone else will have to do all the work. Whoopee, I get a vacation. I will however check in and see if we are still up and running. (not that I would be able to fix it if we weren't) Maybe I'll even write a little something from Chi-Town, you never know. That was my lame attempt to get people to come back next week and chec k out the page I guess that is about it, now you see how come I haven't written in a month. There was nothing to say.

Thursday, 4-May-2000 15:42:00 CST--
Demo Tape Derby. Huh? Yeah, Demo Tape Derby- you send in that crappy tape of yr band's last practice or your latest at-home turntable adventure, and we play it for the world to hear on Monday nights. Bored or interested?

Tuesday, 2-May-2000 16:20:00 CST--
First things first, Sorry to [CTRL-D] for not having listed them on the main radio page until tonight. They are listed now, and they will be playing tonight on Off Broadway at the Moose Lodge. Ok, (Fill in your own Fresh Prince lyric here) We are going to be on a very fluid time schedule tonight, so please be patient with us. The plan is as follows: The interview portion of the show will start at 9:30, and go until 10:15 or so. [CTRL-D] should start playing around 10:45, and will proceed to rock everyone's tube socks off. Because of events beyond our control(for once) there is a scheduling conflict, that has forced these changes, but what the hay, we'll just chalk it up to growing/moving pains. Again, we appreciate your patience with us.

Monday, 24-Apr-2000 16:20:12 CST--
One more day until Wisconsin Dells at the Moose. How exciting! Oh, and I have added a Current Song listing to the Radio Page. Check it out, and tell me where it should go, besides bodily orifices, and I will put it there. Just to keep you updated, we are planning to add chat, and a web cam in the next few months, so keep your eye to the grind stone.

Thursday, 20-Apr-2000 16:20:00 CST--
Well, finally an update. I appologize for the lack of updating that has been taking place recently. I hate when real life starts to take over my play time. Here is what has been happening whilst I have been away. We are moving into a new building as we speak. Our reluctant partner in crime has supplied us with an office, that is beening connected to the Internet in the next few days. Off Broadway has moved to the Moose, and our first show there is on Tuesday, 25 April. Come out and see Wisconsin Dells.

Sunday, 2-Apr-2000 17:09:00 CST--
What a 505 fuse box out of the wall kind of party we had. In case you weren't there, or listening, power was lost 5 times. But I think a good time was had by all. Now for the bad news. Rumor has it that the level was set to high on the mixer, and we have pretty severe clipping on the MD's of the show. Also, due to some excessive BAC, the show will probably not be converted to MP3 in time for the Tuesday Rebroadcast. I will try to get it done, but my 8 ball is saying "All Signs Point To No." I will have it converted in time for the Thursday and Sunday Rebroadcasts of both Worlds Collide and Midnight Evils. Speaking of Midnight Evils, don't forget to tune in to them tonight at 8:00pm. The reviews I've heard about the Ralph's show on Friday, are nothing but spectacular, so don't miss them. Well, I think that is all the news I have, so ttfn.

Friday, 21-Mar-2000 12:09:00 CST--
Wow, I actually have some news. Off Broadway is moving to the Moose Family Fraternity of Wednesday Karoke Fame. This move has many small side effects, one of which is Roger and I will get more sleep. Hopefully, we will also be able to do a webcam of the shows, as well as Chat. I don't have a time frame for the move, but I will post the info here as soon as I have it.

Friday, 21-Mar-2000 12:09:00 CST--
Check out the new and improved Between 8 and 12 Beers Archives. We no longer have scheduled rebroadcasts of Between 8 and 12 Beers, but instead are offering on-demand replay of their shows. Also, tune in tonight for 800 Million on Off Broadway. If you listen closely, you may hear my super secret signal to all the regular readers of the News and Lies section. I have been working hard to come up with a new Coach and 6 philosophy, but haven't been struck by lightning yet, so if anyone has any suggestions, please email them to dshepard@coachand6.com

Friday, 17-Mar-2000 16:20:00 CST--
Well, first off I want to apologize for the missing intro talk. Through some technical difficulties, they are not available. I also want to apologize for the missing first set. It should be up later this evening. Now on to the real news. We have made available for on demand listening, "Between 8 and 12 Beers" Version 0.1 and will be adding the rest soon. I believe that 8 and 12 will be the test subject for on demand listening, so listen to them, and let us know how it is working. ttfn

TGIF, right!? We're working our way towards the 8 or so beers it takes to prep for the show tonight. Thanks to everyone who helped with Tuesday's show; it was super cool to have Ryan and Dawn up from St. Cloud. Tired of the same old shit? Check out kerbango. Great guys, great music. Good luck Phil, on the trip back from Colorado and see ya'll next week. roger

Monday, 13-Mar-2000 17:22:00 CST--
Today has been spent working my actual job, interspersed(my word of the day) with working on the new Radio Section, which should be up in time for Off Broadway on the 14th. That combined with my additional SA post production/copier work, has kept me very busy since my trip to St. Louis. I need a vacation. I'm taking a poll to see if I should talk about my scene dream here, so if I've told you about it(this means you Todd and Jim), weigh in with your opinion. Ok, the Newsletter. I promise that it will actually come out someday. We're leaning towards a monthly kind of thing, so... New Topic: I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped us with this whole project, and in paticular, the Phils at Yahtzeen and Jim at Super Asbestos. And all the bands who have played, and everyone who listens to us. Thank You! and on that sappy note, I will end

Wednesday, 08-Mar-2000 20:40:00 CST--
Here I sit, stuck in Hopkins, waiting for Fargo to thaw. In case you haven't been in my head, I have spent the last 4 days in St. Louis for a Users Conference, so all the updates/program changes have been done by Roger. Anyhow, once I got to MSPL, I was informed that the Fargo airport was closed, and that I would need to find a place to stay for the night. So, being the quick thinker I am, I called up my friend Todd, and asked if I could stay with him. He said yes, but he couldn't pick me up right away. So, I just sat around the airport for a while. A little while later, I called Todd again, and got his room mate Pam, and she agreed to pick me up. She arrived, and immediately suggested that we get something to eat at the Macaroni Cafe, which we did. And that is how I arrived here, feeling very fat and contented, waiting for Fargo to thaw.

Tuesday, 03-Mar-2000 15:20:00 CST--
Ok Phil, we are adding new material to the Coach and 6 Radio playlist. We have added, or are currently adding, artists from Milk, Meat, and Super Asbestos. I'll try to keep this short, tonight we are broadcasting Between 8 and 12 Beers, with Scott Wolf, and Ross Raihala. I don't know quite what to expect, but from the reactions of people when I tell them about it, it will be exciting. It will start at 7:00 pm, and run for about 1 hour. Check on the events page for the rebroadcast times, since I'm to lazy to check for you.

Tuesday, 29-Feb-2000 15:20:00 CST--
Stene Racing, wow, we finally have a band off our label to play on Off Broadway. Someone in marketing was asleep on that one. As always, the show should start pretty close to 10:00pm, and since last week was pretty close to on time, we will try to make this week right on time. We are slowly adding other bands to our standard playlist, so keep tuning in to us even when we don't have special programming. The main hangup has been finding a good way to identify the label affiliation of the new artists. I think that we have decided on a format for this, and our playlist should be expanding by late next week. Anyhow, make sure you tune in tonight, as I'm certain it will be a great time.

Monday, 28-Feb-2000 16:20:00 CST--
I guess I am going to broadcast the Techno Bowl from 4:00pm until 6:00pm tomorrow. I kind of thought it was supposed to be on at Noon, and that I was starting it late, but now that I look at the schedule, I see that it was supposed to start at 6:00. Maybe by starting it early, it will make up for all the other late starts we have here on Coach and 6. It's sort of a Karma thing, I think. I am really excited about the Stene Racing show coming up tomorrow. It should be a great time. Hopefully all will go well. I think that we are getting to the point of having very few technical problems left. All the chicken blood, and eye of newt must be paying off.

Friday, 25-Feb-2000 12:12:18 CST--
I know, I had an extra day to get this show converted, but you know how it is, you procrastinate a little, and here it is, 12:10, and I'm still working on it. The Orange 17 rebroadcast should start in about 30 Minutes.

Tuesday, 22-Feb-2000 19:12:18 CST--
just a quick note to let everyone know that the orange 17 edition of Off Broadway will start around 10:00pm tonight. festivities(this means preshow talking) should actually start at 9:00pm. we do have a history of starting late, so don't get discouraged if we aren't on right at 10:00, we may just be sacrificing a few Colonel Sanders to the tech gods.

Monday, 21-Feb-2000 15:12:18 CST--
it's a quiet day here at Coach and 6. just saving up energy for tomorrow's show, for which we start preparing tonight. orange 17 will be stopping by SA Diesel Labs, to drop off their equipment, and do a sound check. afterwards, roger, and i will be familiarizing jerod with how things hopefully will run. jim is out of town this week, so jerod will be filling in for him as the sound god. on a different front, i have finished converting the cd's from the techno bowl 3, and we are set to broadcast the show on the 24th, so tune in. Oh, and good news, mercury myhre's saturday night for singles will be rebroadcast on wednesday, february 23rd.

Sunday, 20-Feb-2000 12:46:18 CST--
Things are running behind as per usual, so if you are here to listen to the mothmus show, it will be on after 3:00pm. If you are a regular listener, you probably already know that we run late, and are not suprised by the delay. Just a note to Mercury Myhre, WOW! There are rumors that we may have to do an encore presentation, so keep your ears perked up.

Friday, 18-Feb-2000 15:46:18 CST--
I hope everyone enjoyed the rebroadcast of mothmus. We will be broadcasting an honed down version of mothmus on sunday that will cut out much of the talking, and will have full versions of the cut off songs, so please come back and tune in for it.

Thursday, 17-Feb-2000 19:23:55 CST--
I'm just sitting here waiting for the mothmus cd's to arrive so i can transfer them to the computer. other than that, we don't really have any news, so...

Wednesday 16-Feb-2000 11:23:55 CST--
Well, after a great night for music, and a terrible night for technology, we are all busy nursing our hangovers. If you tried to tune in last night, you probably got quite a lot of disconnects, and frustration. This was a result of an oversight on my part. The good news is that we did get the show recorded, and we will be bringing it to you later this week(check the events page for details). Anyhow, I'm on my way to get something for my growling stomach.
